If you could be anyone in the world you choose, who would you be?

better to be me

This is my story.

A while ago as I was sitting in a waiting room in Alexandria Detention Center being charged with driving under the influence, it was the turning point in my life.  I had gotten there because of a life lived without the grace of  Jesus who has ultimately saved me from my own sins and wiped away all of my guilt associated with it.

It all started with little choices of bad habits, like one cigarette here and there, or just one drink once in a while, stealing from shops, pretending I was a really  good kid and then running off with the merchandise I had kindly asked for, and that's just some of the examples of where my life was headed.

At the age of 21, I was already addicted to tobacco,  drinking alcohol heavily, and hanging in with the wrong crowd in the wrong places doing the wrong things.  I had the privilege to go the United States as an Au Pair and that's where my life completely changed.

It was 17 May 2005 when I thought I died in a car accident that happened in Alexandria, Virginia. You can read all about it in my new book. During that sequence of events I opportunity to continue here on earth and choose whom I wanted to be in this life. Since I was given this choice, I realised that I would be no one else but me, Ciprian  Gherghescu, whom I was given to be to begin with, and I chose to be me.

All of a sudden, living life began to be better for me because of the understanding that I would not want to be anyone else in this world and that has been a paradigm shift for my existence. I now am accountable for whom I am or whom I am becoming. I love my life!
It is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am so grateful now to be who I am.

Not long after that, God led me to a book shop in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware where I bought a Bible which has changed my life completely. Reading through it I discovered that I was loved beyond my imaginable understanding by a God who lives in heaven who is now living in me, is with me, and who is for me.

Since then, God has saved me from my failures, has wiped away my shortcomings, my mistakes and has equipped me to serve him by encouraging everyone, praying for all, and sharing the good news to my generation and to generations to come using all means possible.

I pray that you be encouraged by my story, learn what's in your life that would need adjustment and have the courage to step out in faith and choose to do life better by consciously accepting whom God made you to be in your generation and to let Him shape you into the person He wants you to be.

so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over."
